Installation requirements of FFC flat cable
FFC cable is the material of power transmission and the carrier of signal transmission in the chain movement system. It should be selected as FFC cable, also known as drag chain FFC cable. It is mainly divided into: sensor, encoder FFC cable, servo motor FFC cable, robot FFC cable, clean FFC cable, drag chain system FFC cable. The following is to introduce its installation requirements and precautions.1. The laying of FFC cable of drag chain shall not be twisted, that is, FFC cable cannot be untied from one end of FFC cable drum or FFC cable reel. Instead, the FFC cable shall be expanded by rotating the drum or FFC cable reel, and the FFC cable can be expanded or hung if necessary. The FFC cable used in this situation can only be obtained directly from the FFC cable reel.
2. Pay attention to the minimum bending radius of FFC cables.
3. FFC cables shall be laid loosely side-by-side in the drag chain, arranged separately as far as possible, separated by spacer or penetrated into the separation hole of bracket neutral. The gap between FFC cables in the drag chain shall be at least 10% of the diameter of FFC cables
4. The FFC cables in the towline shall not touch each other or be trapped together.
5. Both points of the FFC cable must be fixed, or at least at the moving end of the chain. Generally, the distance between the moving point of FFC cable and the end of drag chain should be 20-30 times of the diameter of FFC cable.
6. Make sure that the FFC cable is fully moved within the bending radius, i.e. it cannot be forced to move. In this way, the FFC cables can be moved relative to each other or to the guide device. After a period of operation, check the position of FFC cable. The inspection must be carried out after the push-pull movement.
7. If the drag chain is broken, the FFC cable also needs to be replaced because the damage caused by excessive stretching cannot be avoided.
